 Non-food current needs : 

Ongoing Supplies:

  • Health and Beauty Products: Over-the-counter medications and health-care products, shampoo, soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, non-alcohol mouth wash, lotion, and any kind of bathroom staples that we all tend to go without when food is a priority. Must be unopened Sample sizes okay as well as normal sizes.

  • All paper goods. Toilet, towels, napkins, printer paper for those working and doing school at home. 

  • Can openers - manual preferred - some clients may have none, or no electricity. 

  • Gas Cards - for pantry use to pick up food donations

  • Zip-Lock bags in all sizes

  • Pint, Quart (approx.) sized plastic containers for repackaging bulk items such as yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.

  • Trash bags, scented and unscented

  • Shopping bags: paper, plastic, multi-use, cooler-type 

  • Plastic tubs - shoe box size and larger - prefer with lids

Large Needs: 

  • Cargo or Van (Our old Dodge Grand Caravan has been almost perfect, except there are times we have to turn down food because the van is too small or can't handle the weight.) 

  • A Building to house our food pantry with a handicap accessible entry, preferably ground floor level. Classroom space would be an added plus, allowing us to expand our mentoring capabilites. Please contact us if you have a building that would fit our needs.

 Foods we need currently: 

(Besides money, which is always needed to keep things running) . . .
When donating, consider 12+ of any one item rather than an assortment. This allows us to include it on our "shopping list." 

  • Coffee - any type: (Imagine going without whether you have a job or are looking for one - or are homeschooling kids.)

  • Condiments - mayonnaise - (can't keep in stock,) ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce (have none,) soy sauce, etc. 

  • Eggs

  • Snack items for school kids​

  • Cereal - kid's favorites and whole grain adult favorites - need bran flakes or Wheatabix

  • Juice in large and individual sizes

  • Fruit cups, Applesauce cups, Pudding cups

  • Fruit snack bars

  • Granola bars, Protein bars

  • Pretty much any healthy snacks

  • Shelf-stable milk 2%+ in quart and individual sizes and non-dairy milks (Almond, cashew, etc.

  • Soups (except vegetable) Most requested are:

    • Broths: chicken, bee​f, bone (much healthier version of chicken!,) mushroom, vegetable (can't keep any of these in stock)

    • Cream of: broccoli, chicken, celery, mushroom, and cheddar cheese sauce

    • Chowder, (manhattan & N.E. clam, corn)

    • Italian wedding soup, Minestroni

    • Anything Progresso or Campbell's chunky

  • Alfredo sauce

  • Crackers in any size and any type (can't keep in stock except saltines) Grahams and Ritz are favorites

  • Gravy mix or jar (only have turkey now)

  • Canned fruits & vegetables:

    • Baked beans​ (can't keep them in stock)
    • Bamboo shoots
    • Beets

    • Black eyes peas

    • Pinto beans

    • Cannellini beans

    • Cream style corn

    • French style green beans

    • Greens: collard, mixed, mustard, turnip

    • Peas and Carrots 

    • Pumpkin (have almost none!)

    • Sauerkraut

    • Succotash

    • Sweet potatoes and Yams (almost none)

    • Tomatoes in any form

    • Mushrooms

    • Water chestnuts

    • Anything else not listed above other than the most basic - which we get from the government (corn, green & kidney beans, sweet peas, mixed veggies, etc.)

    • Canned protein:

      • Chili without beans 

      • Ravioli with meat or cheese

      • Sardines

  • Corn chips and taco shells, tortillas

  • Pasta/shapes: bow-tie, shell, lasagne, linquine/fettuccini

  • Oils: healthiest are avocado, canola, grapeseed, olive, peanut, sesame
