Shopping Service for Seniors Funded

We received this email announcement today as another way that seniors can get food without going to stores. It's great to see our community agencies working together to make sure that people's needs are met at this time.

"Sent: Tuesday, April 7, 2020 6:36 PM Subject: IMPORTANT INFORMATION: List Shopping for Seniors by Community Transit Importance: High

Hello Folks – I hope this e-mail finds you safe and well.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, The County of Delaware Services for the Aging (COSA) and Community Transit are partnering to offer Delaware County seniors an alternative to in-person grocery shopping. Community Transit drivers are available to get grocery lists and payment from seniors and shop and deliver their items.

Delaware County seniors can stay in their homes. The cost of the shopping and delivery will be subsidized by COSA. Contact Community Transit for this service by calling     215-900-2519.

Please share this information with other Delaware County seniors who may be in need of this help.   Thank you."
