We Survived the Federal Shutdown & Budget Mess . . .Thanks to YOU!

I wish there was room in this post to include all of the individuals and groups who donated in the past month or so, both financially and with food donations. Every one of you deserves a reward, and I wish you could see the grins on the clients and volunteers faces! You have given literally hundreds of people hope. When our numbers increased exponentially, and people were living in fear, they walked in our doors and found a reason to find hope.

In the 18 years that we have been running this food pantry, this fall was the worst (as far as the lack of food coming from the government for such an extended period of time.) Thanks to all of you, it was also the best! Neighbors we had never met stopped by with donations, to the point that I haven’t been able to get out my thank you letters. (I’m having software/lack of experience with said software issues as well. But you will get them!)

Thanks to your generosity during this season, we are about where we would normally be, in spite of the political mess.
